But as I kept reading, I watched her transform. Seeing her go from broken to powerful was inspiring.

We all face hard times, and Feyre’s journey reminded me that we can come out stronger.

1.2. Rhysand

Rhysand surprised me. In the first book, I thought he was the villain. He seemed dark and dangerous. But in this book, “A Court of Mist and Fury“, I saw a different side of him. 

He supported Feyre, but in a way that gave her space. He didn’t try to control her. Instead, he showed her respect. I found this refreshing, especially after seeing how Tamlin acted. 

Rhysand’s love wasn’t about control. It was about freedom. I couldn’t help but start to like him more and more as the story went on.

Tamlin disappointed me in this book. I liked him in the first story, but in A Court of Mist and Fury, his actions made me rethink everything. He wanted to protect Feyre, but he went about it the wrong way. Locking her up and controlling her wasn’t love. It was control.

His behavior made me reflect on how real-life relationships can sometimes become toxic when someone doesn’t respect boundaries.

It made me realize how important it is to have a healthy balance in relationships, built on trust and freedom.

The supporting characters, especially Mor and Amren, became some of my favorites. Each one brought something special to the story. Mor’s energy and kindness made her easy to love. Amren’s mysterious nature kept me curious. 

I loved how these characters became Feyre’s new family. I could see how much they cared for her, and they helped her grow stronger. They weren’t just side characters; they played an important role in Feyre’s healing.

The world of the courts fascinated me. Sarah J. Maas expanded the world so much in this book. Each court felt unique, but the Night Court, especially Velaris, stood out the most. 

I could imagine the beauty of Velaris, a hidden paradise in the middle of chaos. It felt peaceful and magical, and honestly, I wanted to visit it myself! The other courts had their own charm, but the Night Court, with its freedom and light, felt like a place of hope.

One of the most exciting parts of the book was watching Feyre discover her powers. I could feel her fear and excitement as she learned what she could do. 

It made me think about how we all have hidden potential, things we haven’t discovered about ourselves. Feyre’s journey reminded me that we can grow and become stronger if we push ourselves. 

3. Key Themes

3.1. Healing and Self-Discovery

Feyre’s healing journey felt very real to me. After everything she had been through, she needed time to find herself again.

Sometimes, after going through hard times, we forget how important it is to take care of ourselves. Watching Feyre learn to value herself again reminded me that healing takes time. 

Her journey was about more than just recovering from past hurts; it was about discovering who she really was.

3.2. Power and Control

The theme of power and control stood out in this book. Tamlin’s need to control Feyre made me think about how dangerous control can be in relationships. On the other hand, Rhysand gave Feyre the power to make her own choices. 

Seeing Feyre take control of her life was empowering for me. It showed how important it is to stand up for yourself and not let others take away your freedom. 

3.3. Love and Relationships

The relationships in this book were very different from each other. Feyre’s relationship with Tamlin felt toxic, while her relationship with Rhysand felt healthy. 

I appreciated how Sarah J. Maas showed the contrast between the two. Rhysand and Feyre’s love was built on mutual respect and trust. 

Their love story wasn’t just romantic; it was a partnership of equals, and I loved seeing that.

The way Maas built up the conflict made me feel like I was part of the action. I was anxious to see how Feyre would confront such a powerful enemy and what sacrifices she would have to make along the way.
